A Whirlwind Trip

Caedmon & I made a special trip home in August to celebrate my dad's wedding to Kay Peters who hails from California. She is a retired physical therapist and an amazing lady who loves Jesus. Caedmon & I got to witness the 7minute 30second nuptials on August 8th in Walla Walla, followed by a short and sweet reception.

Why did Caedmon get to come along? Well, he's an 11th grader and will likely not have another opportunity to see colleges in person before he applies next year. And so, the day after the wedding Caedmon & I embarked on a trip across Washington to visit five public universities and one private: WSU, EWU, CWU, UW, WWU and SPU, with a brief Sunday stop back at Trinity to catch up with friends and faith family.

In all we were away for 14 days, 8 of which we got to spend in the good old U.S. of A. Our trip, both driving and flying, came off without a hitch and we are so thankful.

We left Erin, Whitman and Evangeline at home to fend for themselves.
They survived without us just fine.

While visiting EWU in Cheney, we got to tour my aunt and uncle's new tiny house.

Caedmon got to hang out briefly with a few of his great friends in Walla Walla.

On our trip home, Caedmon cornered two police officers
at SeaTac to interview them about their job.

  1. Great pictures, especiallythe first one at te top! Gotta like those smiles from Erin, Whitman and Evangeline. Bravo to Cademon for interviewing police officers. I'll bet they don't get that much, but I'll bet they loved it.
